The Tplink MC111CS Dubai is a versatile media converter designed to facilitate the conversion between 100BASE-FX fiber and 10/100Base-TX copper media, and vice versa. Leveraging Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology, the Tplink MC111CS Dubai operates efficiently with just one fiber cable for both data transmission and reception, resulting in significant cost savings on cabling expenses.
Compliant with IEEE 802.3u standards governing 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX, the Tplink MC111CS Dubai is tailored for single-mode fiber cables, featuring the SC-Type connector. This media converter also excels in supporting the longwave (LX) laser specification at a full wire-speed forwarding rate. It operates at a wavelength of 1550nm for transmitting data and 1310nm for receiving data. Consequently, the corresponding end device working in tandem with the MC111CS should utilize 1310nm for data transmission and 1550nm for data reception. TP-LINK’s MC112CS media converter is just one example of a compatible device to pair with the Tplink MC111CS Dubai.
Additional noteworthy features of this module include its ability to function as a standalone device, eliminating the need for a chassis (no chassis required), or to operate within TP-Link’s TL-MC1400 chassis.
