To facilitate smooth data transfer, the Cisco Nexus7700-18Slot Dubai chassis employs a passive mid-plane architecture, establishing physical connectors and copper traces that effectively interconnect the fabric modules and I/O modules. Crucially, all inter-module switching activities are efficiently managed through crossbar fabric ASICs integrated within the individual I/O modules and fabric modules.
