The Synology DS920 Dubai is a NAS Enclosure , featuring a built-in dual-core processor and an AES-NI hardware encryption engine, meticulously designed to streamline your data and multimedia management. It is furnished with two M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots, complementing the Synology SSD Cache technology to enhance system I/O and application performance. The device’s expansive storage capacity allows for a scalable approach, starting small and expanding with the Synology DX517 expansion unit as your data grows.

Equipped with four drive bays natively supporting 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs, the Synology DS920 Dubai facilitates the storage and sharing of a multitude of files for up to 2048 user accounts and 2000 maximum concurrent connections.

Running on the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, a browser-based operating system that simplifies NAS management, the Synology DS920 Dubai is powered by a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron J4125 Quad-Core CPU with a burst frequency of up to 2.7 GHz. Supported by 4GB of DDR4 RAM (upgradeable to 8GB), it ensures rapid access to frequently used files and applications. The NAS, through its Gigabit Ethernet port, achieves sequential read speeds up to 225.99 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 225.9 MB/s, alongside encrypted reads at up to 225.99 MB/s and encrypted writes at 225.91 MB/s.

Additional features include two USB 3.0 Type-A ports for host system connectivity, an eSATA port for the DX517, and network connectivity via dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting link aggregation and failover. Data accessibility is extended through free iOS and Android applications. For users requiring RAID support, the Synology DS920 Dubai accommodates RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, Synology Hybrid RAID, and Basic RAID, offering diverse options for performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. Alternatively, for those not requiring RAID, JBOD is available, allowing individual utilization of each drive bay.

Engineered for energy efficiency, the Synology DS920 Dubai integrates dual 92 x 92mm fans for consistent cooling, coupled with a noise dampening design rated at 19.8 dBA for quiet operations. The server supports numerous scheduled power on/off cycles and hard drive hibernation, contributing to minimized power consumption and operational expenses.
