It boasts a high-performance multi-core MIPS hardware architecture, enabling the EG Gateway to support a wide array of features. These include high-performance NAT, WAN load balancing, intelligent flow control, online behavior management, visualized IPsec VPN, web authentication, and more.
One notable feature is the integrated Hard Disk Drive (HDD) that allows the EG Security Gateway to offer local storage for logging internet activities. This feature is essential to meet National Internet Security Compliance requirements in many countries.

Ruijie SME Security Gateway (EG3230 model only) supports detail logging both on what has happened to the device and what is happening. A local attached 1TB hard disk provides sufficient storage to keep all the necessary audit logging trail. It increase the higher logging retential period before it is exported to external logging server
