The Synology DS1520 Dubai is equipped with five drive bays that natively support 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs, facilitating data storage including videos, music, photos, and documents for up to 2048 user accounts and 2000 maximum concurrent connections.

Operating on the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, a browser-based system simplifying NAS management, the Synology DS1520 Dubai is driven by a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron J4125 Quad-Core CPU paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, enabling swift access to frequently used files and applications. The NAS achieves sequential read speeds of up to 451.28 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 451.18.

Additional features include two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and two eSATA ports for connectivity to Windows or Mac systems, while network connectivity is achieved through four Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting Link Aggregation and Failover for shared data access across the network. RAID support encompasses RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, along with Synology Hybrid RAID and Basic RAID, offering performance, data redundancy, or a blend of both. Alternatively, JBOD is available for individual utilization of each drive bay.

Designed for energy efficiency, the Synology DS1520 Dubai incorporates two 92 x 92 x 25mm fans for consistent cooling, coupled with a noise-dampening design for quiet operations. The server supports scheduled power on/off cycles and hard drive hibernation to minimize power consumption and operational expenses. The Synology DiskStation DS1520+ 5-Bay NAS Enclosure operates on 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, including an accessory pack, an AC adapter, an AC power cord, and two RJ45 LAN cables.
