The Synology DS1621 Dubai 6-Bay NAS Enclosure is a high-performance solution by Synology that ensures the storage and protection of critical assets. The system provides storage scalability, allowing a seamless transition from a modest start to expansion as data requirements grow. Elevate storage performance by incorporating dual M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs for high-IOPS system caching or enhance network speeds through the addition of a 10GbE SFP+ or RJ45 NIC to the PCIe 3.0 x8/x4 slot. With six drive bays supporting 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs, this NAS facilitates comprehensive data storage. It accommodates the storage and sharing of various files, including videos, music, photos, and documents, catering to up to 2048 user accounts and 1000 maximum concurrent connections.

The Synology DS1621 Dubai operates on the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, a browser-based system simplifying NAS management. Powered by a 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B Quad-Core CPU and 4GB of DDR4 ECC RAM (upgradeable to 32GB), the NAS ensures swift access to frequently used files and applications. It achieves sequential write speeds of up to 2300 MB/s, along with 110,000 4K random read IOPS.

Highlighted features include three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two eSATA ports for storage expansion, and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for network connectivity. RAID support includes RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, as well as Synology Hybrid RAID and Basic RAID, catering to varying needs of performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. JBOD is available for individual utilization of each drive bay.

Engineered for energy efficiency, the Synology DS1621 Dubai is equipped with two 92 x 92mm fans to maintain optimal system temperature. It supports scheduled power on/off cycles and hard drive hibernation to minimize power consumption and operational expenses.
